Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the website rolefinder.co and the RoleFinder application at app.rolefinder.co (together, the "Service"), operated by [COMPANY LEGAL NAME], [COMPANY ADDRESS] ("RoleFinder", "we", "us" or "our"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. What RoleFinder is — and what it is not

RoleFinder is a job listing discovery service. We use automated systems to scan publicly available career pages on company websites and present an index of the job openings we find there, together with links pointing to the original source.

For the avoidance of doubt, RoleFinder:

  • is not an employment agency, recruiter, staffing firm or headhunter and does not provide placement services of any kind;
  • does not create, own, control or manage any job listing shown on the Service — every listing originates from the hiring company's own website;
  • does not participate in any hiring process — we do not submit, forward, review or process applications, and we have no involvement in or influence over any employer's hiring decisions;
  • has no affiliation, partnership or agency relationship with any company whose listings appear on the Service, unless expressly stated otherwise;
  • makes no promise, representation or guarantee that any listing is accurate, current, genuine or still open, or that using the Service will result in an application being reviewed, an interview, a job offer or employment of any kind.

The Service is an information tool. Any application you make, and any relationship you enter into with an employer, is strictly between you and that employer.

2. Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 16 years old (or the age of digital consent in your country, if higher) to use the Service. When you create an account you must provide accurate information and keep your credentials confidential. You are responsible for all activity under your account. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

3. Subscriptions, billing and refunds

  • Free access. Browsing job titles on the Service is free and does not require payment.
  • Paid plans. Paid memberships (currently Weekly, Monthly and Lifetime) unlock additional features such as company names and direct source links. Prices are shown at the point of purchase and may change for future billing periods with notice.
  • Automatic renewal. Weekly and Monthly plans renew automatically at the end of each billing period until cancelled. You can cancel at any time; access continues until the end of the paid period. No pro-rated refunds are given for unused time in a billing period.
  • Lifetime plan. "Lifetime" means the lifetime of the Service — a one-time payment granting access for as long as RoleFinder operates the Service. It is not transferable and does not constitute a promise that the Service will operate for any particular period.
  • Refunds. If you are not satisfied, contact us within 7 days of your first payment for a full refund. After that, payments are non-refundable except where required by law. Statutory withdrawal rights for EU/UK consumers are unaffected; by purchasing immediate access to digital content you consent to immediate performance and acknowledge that your withdrawal right may be lost once the service is fully provided.
  • Payment processing. Payments are handled by third-party payment processors. We do not store your full card details.

4. Job listings — no warranty of accuracy or availability

Listings are collected automatically from third-party websites and are provided "as found". Between our scans, a company may edit, fill, pause, or remove a role, or a listing may be inaccurate on the company's own site. Therefore:

  • we do not warrant that any listing is accurate, complete, current, lawful or genuine;
  • we do not warrant that a listing remains open at the time you view it or apply;
  • we are not responsible for the content of any listing, including salary information, role descriptions or requirements — these are authored entirely by the hiring company;
  • you are responsible for independently verifying any listing and any employer before applying or providing personal information to them.

5. Third-party websites

The Service links to external websites operated by the companies whose roles we index. We have no control over, and assume no responsibility for, the content, privacy practices, security or conduct of any third-party website. Following a link and any subsequent interaction — including submitting an application or personal data — happens entirely at your own risk and is governed by that website's own terms and policies.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • scrape, crawl, harvest or systematically extract data from the Service, or access it by automated means other than standard search engine indexing;
  • resell, sublicense, redistribute or make the Service's data available to third parties;
  • share account credentials or circumvent access controls or payment requirements;
  • interfere with the operation or security of the Service;
  • use the Service for any unlawful purpose.

7. Intellectual property

The Service — including its design, software, branding and the selection and arrangement of its database — is owned by us or our licensors and protected by intellectual property laws. Job listing content belongs to the respective companies. We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the Service for your own job searching.

8. Disclaimer of warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, NON-INFRINGEMENT AND UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE OPERATION. WE DO NOT WARRANT ANY OUTCOME FROM USE OF THE SERVICE, INCLUDING THAT YOU WILL RECEIVE RESPONSES, INTERVIEWS, OFFERS OR EMPLOYMENT.

9. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ROLEFINDER AND ITS OWNERS, EMPLOYEES AND SUPPLIERS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, OPPORTUNITY OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO YOUR USE OF (OR INABILITY TO USE) THE SERVICE, ANY LISTING, OR ANY INTERACTION WITH ANY EMPLOYER OR THIRD-PARTY WEBSITE — EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATING TO THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM, OR (B) FIFTY (50) EUR.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law, including liability for fraud, or death or personal injury caused by negligence, or mandatory consumer rights.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless RoleFinder from any claims, damages and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your breach of these Terms or your misuse of the Service.

11. Changes to the Service and these Terms

We may modify, suspend or discontinue any part of the Service at any time. We may update these Terms; material changes will be announced on the Service or by email. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance. If you do not accept updated Terms, stop using the Service and, if applicable, cancel your subscription.

12. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access for breach of these Terms. Sections that by their nature should survive (including Sections 4, 5, 8, 9 and 10) survive termination.

13. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of [JURISDICTION], without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes shall be submitted to the courts of [JURISDICTION], except where mandatory consumer protection law grants you the right to sue in your country of residence. EU consumers may also use the European Commission's Online Dispute Resolution platform.
